A track taken from his 1965 lp Im so good i dont have to brag,Shel Silverstein wrote hundreds of poems and songs in his lifetime along with many books for adults and children, The music and poems on this video are the property of shel silverstein and are on here as a reminder of the man and his music, enjoy. If anyone objects to any of the music or images in any of my videos please let me know and i will remove them.

    Silverstein at his funniest, and that’s saying a lot. See also “Bury Me in My Shades,” and the Great Smokeoff. What I wouldn’t give to have an ever-lovin’ machine right about now. You could say my computer is one, but it isn’t the same.

    Bobby Bare’s version of this (“Lullabies, Legends, And Lies”) was my intro to Shel. Took me 30 years, but I finally get to hear the original, thanks elofan! Wish there had been more of Shel, still miss him.
