A track taken from his 1965 lp Im so good i dont have to brag,Shel Silverstein wrote hundreds of poems and songs in his lifetime along with many books for adults and children, The music and poems on this video are the property of shel silverstein and are on here as a reminder of the man and his music, enjoy. If anyone objects to any of the music or images in any of my videos please let me know and i will remove them.
you just cant trust your toaster…………
Silverstein at his funniest, and that’s saying a lot. See also “Bury Me in My Shades,” and the Great Smokeoff. What I wouldn’t give to have an ever-lovin’ machine right about now. You could say my computer is one, but it isn’t the same.
Thats what would happen to me if i built a girl robot.
Possibly the funniest song ever written.
Didn’t Old Dogs do this song during their tour?
I wonder how he oiled her spine?
@KandyDancer so do I
@KandyDancer me too.
I miss him!!!!!
I love Shel’s songs if anyone has the song Commin After Jenny….Could you please post it..thanx
whats the one with the naked guy with long hair or beard????
yes, genius.
He’s a genius.i (L) him alr!
That was actually funny…didn’t think I was going to like it, but I did. LOL
The master and the poet… Thank you Shel for helping to raise a young boy in the ghetto. Some nights if it weren’t for your writings I wouldd hav died… We will miss you. Can’t wait to introduce you to my Kids…
I hate to say this but he looks like Anton Szandor LaVey who wrote The Satanic Bible. Or am I thinking of Charles Manson?
Bobby Bare’s version of this (“Lullabies, Legends, And Lies”) was my intro to Shel. Took me 30 years, but I finally get to hear the original, thanks elofan! Wish there had been more of Shel, still miss him.
