I write childrens books but have no ilustrator. Has anyone published a childrens book and used the publishing companys illustrator? If so, how much did it cost and what company did you use or recomend?

Hello everyone, im looking to resell childrens books and have no idea where people get large amounts of books for such a little cost. The cheapest I have found is 10.00 for used banana box full and some of it was junk. Im looking to buy gaylords or truck loads full . I am an artist and my main focus is murals for childrens rooms! I would really like to have my work published in a childrens book. I would also like to illustrate childrens books. My problem is i live in a small town with few cities around! Can anyone tell me or give me advice on how to go about getting started illustrating? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
